Albums

ALBUMS

Albums are available in three styles (mounted, flush, or magazine-style). All are heavy, tastefully bound volumes with dozens of options for covers, page color, gilding color, and size.

The cover is your choice of real leather, vegan-leather, or bookcloth. They are available unadorned, with an inset image, with your choice of imprinted text, or with a see-through, sheer Plexiglas cover that showcases the first image (see examples below).

All pages are made of sturdy, archival museum-board, and all prints are sprayed to protect them from fingerprints or stains. The page edges can be gilded gold, black, silver, or left plain (my examples below show gold and plain.) Pages (sides) can number from 16 to 60.

Albums included in packages assume one print per page, and are either 10x10” mounted album with 5x7” print size, or an 8x10” flush album. Upgrades are easily available to magazine-style, or to larger mounted or flush albums. To add prints to basic albums, simply add the price of a print plus $7 each for mounting.

Mounted Albums:
Each print is mounted onto a matboard inside a recessed window cut 1/8” larger all around. Choose from black, ivory, or white pages, and the border (“liner”) around it can be gold, silver, white, or black. My examples here show black page with gold liner and black page with black liner, both with gold page edges. This album has the classic, elegant feel of matted art prints.

Flush Albums:
Each print is laminated onto a board, and the photograph goes all the way to the edges of the page – in fact, it is the page, with a thick matboard hidden underneath it. The size of the print is the size of the album. Photographs are sturdy and safe from fingerprints or spills.

Magazine-Style Albums:
Digital prints are mounted onto board, similar to the flush album but with squarer page corners and less of a gap in the center. The main difference is the layout: you can have one or many pictures on each page, arranged in a number of different layouts. Background can be any color, or even another photograph. This is the sleekest-looking album. It looks great in a 9x12” size, but is available both larger and smaller, in squares or rectangles.
