THE DIGITAL OPTION
I usually shoot the portraits, the ceremony, and some candids on
medium format (120mm) film. For the rest of the pictures (mainly
getting ready, dinner, and dancing), I like to use digital S.L.R. (I
use a 12 MP Canon EOS 5D, and an 8 MP Canon EOS 20D). I recommend
this mixture of film and digital, although I am happy to do all-film
or all-digital if preferred. All-digital is a popular option because
it is more inexpensive than mixed or all-film.
Below are some examples of weddings I shot with a digital camera. In
my opinion, digital SLR now exceeds the quality of 35mm film, and is
comparable with medium format. It can be enlarged to poster size
without a problem.
You can choose to have CDs containing all the digital pictures, which
you are free to print as you wish.
